Hello! I haven't been able to find too much on this substance, accept that it seems a safer alternative to liquid or sublingual deprenyl while having the same basic mood-enhancing and neuroprotective effects.
I have also read that it is not a controlled substance in the United States and therefore can be bought without prescription. So I'd like to give it a try and see if it proves a boon.
So if you know where I can pick up a sample-size supply from a shop with COA's, please do let me know.

Thanks very much, sorry to be a bother.

Harmaline?

You mean Syrian Rue?

Harmaline is a MAOI that is one of the alkaloids in Syrian Rue. Might want to be careful with it as it has psychoactive effects, and has shown both neuroprotective and neurotoxic effects

Syrian Rue is an MAOI-A. Hence it interact with pretty much everything except water. You have to follow a strict diet that rule out every types of food that make life worth living. That pretty much counteract the antidepressive effect.

Hi, thanks for the replies. Sorry, looks like I misunderstood - I thought that it was a drug derived from any one of numerous plants, one of which is Syrian Rue, and that Harmaline was the trade name of this extract. Thanks for clearing that up.

Making Ayahuasca, perhaps? Buy some good tea and a shamanic drum instead :)

Really, taking a MAO-A inhibitor more than very seldom is a huge danger,
eating aged cheese becomes lethal, countless interactions, etc. It's not a
nootropic. If you want the experience, book a trip to the jungle to an ayahuasca
village, where it'll be more intense (and legal, as opposed to using a recipe
that contains the scheduled DMT in the US). Not strictly a nootropic, in any case.
