After reading this post and others by this poster, my comments are as follows:

1. If it is not currently possible for users to opt to filter out all comments by particular posters (and I think it's not), I'd like to see such an option added in the future.

2. I recommend that some sort of mechanism be implemented that limits the total number of new threads that can be added daily by any single poster (excepting moderators and others as appropriate).

I think an exorcism needs to be done on luv2increase. I have a feeling time vindicated with Adam Kamil and took over luv2's soul.

I think someone is jealous of someone's intelligence. :)

PM the moderators this instead of trolling my thread genius.

LOL Yeah, I meant allowed. I get a little carried away.

Is that the route of your problem?

You rock, Shepard. :)

And yes, luvydovey, I get why he said it. :)

P.S.: Luv, the reason all your posts get negative stars, including this one, is because most of us generally think you're both insane and a right wing fringe nut who often takes racist/ethnocentric/extremist positions that give the rest of the community a bad name. And generally, when you put something like PROOF in your posts/titles, there is absolutely one thing we can all be certain about (if you're discussing politics, at least): Your "proof" comes from a fairytale land called Honahlee.

Excuse me but doesn't this constitute an ad-hominem attack? Why is this allowed?

It is actually a substantive argument. I am putting forth a position backed by the numerous posts made by Luv. Further, I am putting forward the position that he is, in truth, a troll who posts horrible lies and rumors under the guise of discussion. If Luv's posts are allowed, certainly my own should be, too. I would say our posts are equally on topic of "Politics and Law", which is to say, neither of us are contributing positively to the discussion. I believe the moderators should take an equally hard position with both of us: Luv should be banned from adding 10 new completely BS threads a day attacking Obama with total lies (I don't mind a discussion/disagreement with Obama on the facts, but out-and-out lies should have no place in a community that prides itself on the search for knowledge) and I should be stopped from my attacks on him (which I will happily do when his idiocy is stopped).

My point is simple: We are not Stormfront or some other Neo-Nazi/White Power fringe group. While politically the community spans the spectrum of positions (I'm personally an independent liberal and have almost as many bones to pick with the Democrats, especially the Clintons, as I do the Republicans), I really do not think we have any room in this community for the sort of racial/religious/ethnic hatred and total fabrications that luv spews on this board. If we tolerate his behavior, then we should equally tolerate attacks on him. If you will notice, biknut, I do NOT attack you personally (even when I disagree with your points of view). Mostly, because you rarely go to such extremes.

Oh be quite Suspire. You are about as dumb as a box of phony rocks :) Based off the PM you sent me a minute ago, I'd say this is logical to assume.

Get a life loser. It seems all you like to do is stir up trouble, and here I am on a serious, important thread trying to make a point and start up discussions, yet your immature jackass self keeps butting in with your condescending remarks towards me. Grow up.

So as I was saying: The Transhumanist/Immortalist community is trying to go mainstream. There has been a lot of discussion on that topic, on how to make us more acceptable to the mainstream public so that interest, money, positive press, etc goes in our direction, for our cause. Individuals like luv2increase undermine such efforts; any outsider coming to our community and seeing thread after thread posted by him in these forums will simply equate us with some extreme fringe group and dismiss us much in the same way most of us dismiss him. They will equate the worst elements of the community--ie luv2increase--with the community as a whole. They may even see our lack of disavowal of his membership as a tacit approval of his statements--perception is everything.

I mean, Ron Paul is the perfect example: Many in the community like much of what he has to say or what he has to stand for, but he is not taken seriously by the mainstream public, because unfortunately he attracts extremists to his flag. He does not want it, he does not like them, he tries to disavow them, but to no avail.

I think it is a small thing for the moderators to simply shut down these crazed threads. Simply close down and delete threads based in lies, immediately. It will do a lot of good for the community, and its image, and for public discourse. We'll be forced to post intelligent threads and topics, grounded in factual positions, and while we will continue to represent a diverse political spectrum, no one can point to us as extremists.

In any case, I've made my point and I am mostly done with it. I cannot say I will not attack luv in the future, if he does another one of his 'Obama is an undercover-ninja-Muslim-terrorist', but I only have so much time and energy for such things.

Well thanks for making your point in a public thread and not through the means which it should be done through. If you care so much about this institute, you would have stopped the trash talk long ago. No trash talk was initiated from me. It was only in self defense. Show me one post where I initiated anything. I am open for other people's belief as we all should be. You are the one who trashes other people's beliefs because they are not like your own.

Learn to live with other people and their respective beliefs. This world will not live in peace and harmony otherwise.

Wow. Now that that is over with, can we please get back to the discussion of the thread? Much obliged... :)
