Who here currently takes Mucuna Pruriens and what brand do you use? Has anyone ordered it from the companies below?

Hey.

Personally I want to try an whole unstandardized-for-L-DOPA (or very low L-DOPA standardization, maybe 6-10%) Mucuna product, albeit strengthened (10:1 or something), and things like phytic acid minimized. The reason being that for various reasons* I suspect that the active dopaminergic in Mucuna Pruriens is not L-DOPA, or that the other components in the whole substance definitely alter the overall pharmacological effect considerably.

*(a partial list: different (longer with Mucuna Pruriens) duration of effect, different characteristics in research regarding the possible-neurotoxicity of L-DOPA that shows up sometimes (Mucuna Pruriens is protective), apparent difference in need of carboxylase inhibitor, and that a Mucuna Pruriens extract standardized for 0% L-DOPA still showed anti-Parkinsonian activity ...)

Thanks for the link, ajnast4r.

Question: Why would someone take this product "at bedtime" as suggested in the link you provided?

I thought (hey, I could be wrong!) that it was to be taken in the AM as it can be stimulating.
