Does anyone have any information on any new findings dealing with essentially a "switch" or any such means, to instantly fall asleep.

There is no such thing as far as I am aware. I have had success in the past with a combination of binaural beats, sedatives, inhibitory amino acids and a good hot shower.
My usual combo for particularly stubborn insomnia would be a 30 min sleep induction session with the brainwave generator, while in bed, after having taken 5-HTP, melatonin, tyrosine and doxylamine succinate. Zoolander might also recommend some of his personal favourite, phenibut, which I personally have never tried but should.

The powers of the internet are weak in this one.

There is a reason Google is popular.

Propofol. Fast acting IV barbiturates. If you want something easier, longer lasting, and cheaper, try Ambien. It's not exactly a light switch, but it's pretty close, and a hell of a lot more practical. Or are you looking to slip someone a mickey? Roofies?

Yeah Propofol worked wonders for Michael Jackson.

i dont believe its natural to instantly fall asleep. sleep is a process. you are not an electrical appliance that gets plugged into the wall and pulled out in a flash.

If you get a prescription for Xyrem, that works pretty damn fast, like 5-10 minutes. Hard to get though as it is very euphoric in sub-sleep doses.
