Hey Guys,

A while back I ordered some phenibut as well as some Taurine. Unfortunately, when I received the box both were labeled Phenibut (both from the same company).

The taurine was supposed to be 500g, and 100g of phen...So I peeled the little phenibut label off of the 500g container assuming it was a mishap. I didn't think much of it, until I took what I thought was 3g or so of taurine. That night and all the next day I was dizzy as hell, albeit a bit euphoric...So I was curious if there was an easy method for differentiating the two substances.

The 100g container (supposedly phenibut):
Appears to be a white powder, very fine in nature. It clumps together a bit and looks like this image of "crude taurine", however, other images of taurine show it as less of a clumpy powder and more of a salt.

The taste is...disgusting...obviously. A bit salty / sour...maybe a little sulfuric... hard to tell when my tongue is signalling "Do NOT Eat" to my brain.

The 500g container (labeled phen, assumed to be taurine):
Also a white powder, however the crystals are larger, flows more like salt and less like a powder.
Unfortunately the taste is similar...Salty sour...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Phenibut will make you dizzy and europhic, I think you can safely assume the 500mg container is the 'but.

Taurine does clump together after a while, it's fairly benign as far as taste, and it has fairly average granules. Average as far as my experience with powders, not necessarily in general.

Taurine is more granulated and will give you a stiff neck if you take >4 grams. I probably wouldn't buy from that company again. I don't consider that an honest mistake.

What is the name of the company you ordered these products from?

Ok, so far I've received two conflicting answers, haha... One says that taurine clumps together resembling the image. The other says it's more granular.... Who's right here?

The company was 1fast400, however the distributor may have bought in larger bulk and packed it themselves.

Thanks

PS: Does anyone have both supplements on them? And if so, can you take a side by side picture or perhaps just taste one, then the other and tell me if you can differentiate. They both have a *similar* salty sour taste. Maybe one is a bit more sulfuric than the other. I'll taste them again later and give you my full description.

I wish this wasn't so difficult, but I really don't feel like dropping a bunch on a week night again and I'm not sure I can pinpoint the effects at low doses. (both seem to relax me some, taurine may drop my blood pressure significantly causing the dizziness...but phenibut can also cause this symptom.)

Taurine is granular and shiny, yes very shiny, mouth feel is very granular almost crunchy. Mine usually clumps a little the older it gets but nothing like that picture. Phenibut if I remeber clearly (I only took two doses and yes I actually threw the stuff away, something I rarely do, but I really hated its effects) is more powdery and probabably could clump like the picture.

Be careful with testing phenibut take it on the weekend, you will know if its phenibut, you will be phenibuzzing the whole day, not so with an equivalent dose of taurine any dose of taurine.

They do not benefit from supplyling phenibut instead of taurine. The mistake is honest.

It also inexcusably negligent and due cause for boycotting the source for safety reasons.
