If you might be interested in runnings such a program then state your interest here. Youll need to know or be willing to learn how to skype in through ustream and youll have to line up a life extensionist and a deathist each week.

If a program like this would draw in a lot of interest then It would be well worth it for a lot of reasons., and I think it will.

It will also help us all hone in our pro aging trance cracking skills and allow new members to witness good technique in action. I think it will also inspire more people to take action and talk to the trancists about this more all over.

I'm sure if you contacted some people who would be willing to debate the subject, it could be hosted at ImmInst's Ustream channel.

I was thinking on doing something similar here in Belgium. I would invite a philosopher, a sociologist, some immortalists,... and then we would debate in front of a live audience.
Organizing things like this is one of the goals of the healthy life extension society.

Could you host a show like that in imminst ustream? Either of you actually... And about the healthy life extension society, what would it have that imminst wouldnt? Im wondering why you dont look into making it a branch of imminst.

The healthy life extension society is focussed on organizing local initiatives in Belgium, The Nederlands and France. Imminst is an on line worldwide community while we would give lectures in front of an audience at least ones a month.

We actually looked at the possibility of becoming a branch of the Methuselah Foundation but it wouldn't matter because we would still be legally independent.

I have invited a couple deathists to the Sunday Evening Update (Kass and Fukuyama) but they both declined. Perhaps there is someone else available.

I guess if a whole weekly show cant be got for it then a few in the sunday evening up date would be a good idea. Do you see any other ways of working it in like maybe, a 15 minute segment of the sunday show or something? I remember you saying your open to more shows in the channel like this right? Then if we get somebody who has the ability to skype in then we can have them run their list of equipment and skills past you and you can see if they are up for the job or not and get them going on it. Unless of course you have time to run it but I figured you were stretched pretty thin the way it is. Another idea is maybe a 2 hour sunday show with this as part of it and then you could add some other 15 minute segments to fill in.

My fear is that any life extensionist you pick will be a complete idiot and lunatic and do more damage than good.

I like your terminology here though.

Well, we wouldnt pick just anybody. They would have to be proven to be fluent in the concepts of life extension and all. We wouldnt pick people that use ad hominem attacks and stuff like that. Can you think of any other good guidelines to use?

These would be people that are like or we can see becoming like a life extension "pundit" for the cause. Amongst many other things it would help prepare more life extensionists for potential local interviews.

We would want to do the same for deathists and pick people that wouldnt act like lunatics and throw around rediculous ad hominem attacks.

We could start with the known deathists flying around the life extension sites like Kass and Fukuyama and throw in other suggestions as they arise.

Does any body want to volunteer to ad themself to a list of potential life extensionist for these discussions should a show arise?

I suppose that is always good.

I mean if a reporter asked you to say something about life extension would all of you know what to say?

Which reminds me, Ive got a list of projects Im compiling and working with people on and Im going to add a project to collaborate and make a drive to get people to write articles to their open letters section and stuff like that. Any ideas for that and do you want to help us outline that project? If so then let me know here or meet me in the chat room.

Voted "yes." I think this is an excellent idea. O man, if it could some day get on local television that would be a dream come true.

It could, we work out the details and go through the learning process of it all, and gain attention for it, and over time we could very plausably find funding to get this on those local pay tv stations. Like, my university has a tv station where kids just mess around with various shows they make. Im sure we can get this on to a station like that.

I just added that aspect of it to the outline of the project for it at 4.2 of the google doc bullet list, "the bullet clip" should we call it as a point of reference? There are also possible ustream shows outlined in 1-C of the list. Please add to them, you or anybody. Anybody interested let us know.

Most cable access channels on universities and within cities are free, you just have to ask for studio time.

What about a life extensionist vs deathist steel cage match? That might be more entertaining.

Whoa, are you serious? If so... I can try to request time at my university (if needed).

We need to make sure we supply them with plenty of steel fold-up chairs too!

I think they do do that at universities, tons of potential there aint it? I was thinking that we could try to get the sunday evening update on that, but Im not sure if mind wants to do that because of his job. So we've been developing other show ideas. The university show factor is a good reason to try to hasten one. We just have to find somebody to host one now.

And a death match thing would actually be a good gimmick come to think of it. Back yard wrestling that is filmed for ustream with a life extensionist vs deathist theme could be run on a uiniversity channel. Ive seen random stuff like that on university channels before. There was one half hour daily show where people filmed their roomates walking around their messy college apartment cooking eggs and hanging out with people and stuff.
