Is piracetam's stimulation of the CNS dose dependent? Does anyone experience increased anxiety on it? Im thinking of starting at a low dose (800mg), but want to avoid the possibility of anxiety driven side effects at all costs.

I actually have generalized anxiety disorder and have found piracetam to be a godsend in ridding my daily anxiety. Piracetam is related to GABA (the calming, anti-axiety neurotransmitter), so it will take away one's anxiety. This is true for the vast majority of those who indulge in piracetam.

Can you say an anti-axiety pharmaceutical without the memory impairment yet quit the contrary? Well, you most certainly can with piracetam because that is exactly what it is.

I find it to be one of the best anti-anxiety supplements I know of. I am pretty anxiety prone normally though.

You can't get anxiety from piracetam, most people that take this and report anxiety are probably already anxious in the first place, take some piracetam and have a particular anxious day, relate the too when actually they had nothing to do with each other and claim it was the piracetam. People do this with loads of supplements.

You can take other things for anxiety though, like magnesium or st johns wort

piracetam with caffeine will make me activated like nothing else. Not really a good thing in the long run for me.

I have experimented a bit with piracetam and while it gave me some creativity it also was a bit unreliable in it´s effect. People are supposed to take it up to three time daily for optimum results? Everybody does it different I guess.

Bacopa on the other hand is really nice! I would choose it over piracetam any day.
Good mood boost, better memory and I think an increase in affective memory as well (which is what I want the most). Could partly be because of serotonin elevation.

I get some anxiety from piracetam. I especially notice my hands getting cold, which I think is a physical sign of anxiety for myself.

piracetam works well on foucs and alert, and can cure anxiety, not to generate anxiety instead.

hm, I would say it's more an "alert" kind of anxiety, if that makes any sense. I get a cribbly tense feeling sometimes shortly after taking it.
