Would it be possible to create a function where you can 'watch' or 'bookmark' topics, and then get a special Active Topics list with only those topics?

that solution is now 3 or 4 years into it's r&d process. Maybe we'll solve that before we solve aging, but it's looking less likely. ;)

When I was very active I used to use it all the time.

Now I find myself quite distant. I use it after I post a few posts and want to follow them without receiving mails.

nevermind. It no longer functions

My guess is that you tried to make a link to the results of the "selected" feature. They do not generate a permanent link. It lasts about a day.
