I was just listening to a local talk radio show about technology. The subject was the slow boot up for PC's. Computers being ubiquitous, a remarkable number of NYC listeners were paying attention and one called in and said:

"I don't have a boot up problem because I just leave it on all the time. It's not such a bad thing to just leave it on because I use my idle time giving support to the Folding at Home project helping to decode DNA."

The up shot was that leaving the computer on and using it for projects like Folding @ Home is a great idea and I expect you will see a few more volunteers from the NYC area. Check out the Brian Leher show; Boot Up

Thanks Lazarus, for the tip.

Good opportunity to spread the Meme, "Longevity" that is. I posted a comment there.
