You know, people are funny. I don't expect anyone to believe me, but I've worked as a cameraman or DP for both Gupta and Moore, and neither of them are what they appear. Nor is any media anything resembling reality. No one in media knows much of anything, and if you peg us in a bar, we'll tell you straight up. This site, on the other hand, has the potential to be something much different than the mainstream media. So let's go with that. Let's be different. How, I'm not sure, but please, let's try something different.

For perhaps the first time I felt that Michael Moore was correct when he was explaining the errors of Gupta's figures (in the beginning), but good lord he manages to piss me off every time. "It's not free, Michael, you pay for it in taxes." "It is free, it is free." How the hell is it free, Michael?

It's freer than not knowing where your tax dollars are being spent, which has been the norm for quite some time in america, according to my knowledge of recent history.

It's also freer than being a slave and whipped with a large wooden stick all day long, but that don't make it free.

Nothing in a capitalistic society is 'free'. But this is something that will have overt life-long benefits to us, I.E the payees. So why complain? Every country with universal healthcare has greater overall life expectancy than the U.S

While technically true for Canada, there's a lot to be said about quality of life vs quality of living. Give me 20 good years in America and I'd give up full 80 years in Canada. Oh wait, I already did.

I thought Cuba has universal healthcare. Their life expectancy is lower than U.S. And I'm pretty sure Denmark has universal healthcare as well, and their life expectancy is lower too.
