Fox news Jamie Colby Calorie Restriction segment
There will be a Calorie Restriction segment tomorrow on Fox News with Jamie Colby. From Pauls email to the CR Society he says that it's expected to air on the weekend when on Jamies own show between 12:00-2:00 p.m on Saturday and 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m on Sunday. Apparently Jamie said she would try to do the best CR interview, Paul and Meredith seem to think it will turn out very well. So don't forget to tune in to the show tomorrow to catch it. If you miss it then I think it might be put up on fox news website, which I'll provide a link for if it's there.

An article was posted before the show airs tomorrow

Thanks for the video link, Shannon - I was hoping that someone would upload it somewhere, so that those of us who live outside the US might watch the show as well. It was (is) a very good CR video.

EDIT: I see now that it isn't the new CR video, but it's still a good one.

One thing I thought about while watching the show, though (and one that I have been thinking about for a while now) is what happens in the body during the daily fasting period recommended by Paul and Meredith. I do understand the benefits of daily limited fasting, but what about digestion? Since breakfast is a very large meal in this type of CR, one would have to spend a long time eating breakfast to allow for proper digestion. Also, what about catabolism? When one doesn't eat for a period of time, the body begins to deplete glycogen stores and eventually starts breaking down body fat. Is this something to keep in mind while incorporating a fasting period in one's CR practice? To maintain body weight, would one have to eat more calories when practicing daily limited fasting compared to "regular" CR?

I am curious to hear other CR practicioners' thoughts on this matter.

Paul said on CR list

"extended version of the telecast will appear on her show Sunday, which airs from 10:00 to 11:00 am. EST"
