My stomachs healing right now, so I am avoiding protease, but am looking for a good digestive enzyme formula. Any recommendations or experiences?

Nature's life makes a bromelain and papain product.

Tyler sells the three types of enzymes separately - lypase, amalyse and protease.

Tyler was bought by Pure Encapsulation, I think. You might search for both names.

The amalyse and lipase products are not that cheap.

I'm not sure what your definition of protease is. I know I was taking the bromelain and papain product on an empty stomach (with some systemic enzymes). But I think that bromelain might be considered an enzyme for protein.

If you have ulcers you can take protease enzymes you just can't take too much and you should wait until after you have eaten most of your meal before taking the protease.

Check out the Enzymedica site, they may have what you're looking for.

They make high quality enzyme formulations.

bromelain and papain are proteases.

enzymedica does not make an enzyme product w/o proteases to the best of my knowledge.

here is a lipase only product,
