Is there a better online place to read the Immortality Institutes book,"The Scientific Conquest of Death" other than the pdf file? I cant beleive I havent bought this book yet. Im going to buy a case of them as soon as I get the money. The terminology and meme phrasing is getting a little old, as this cause is advancing rapidly, due in part to things like the book itself, but it is certainly still relevant.

If there isnt a better place, then this would be a great and simple project for somebody to tackle. Come up with some good ideas, discuss them with Mind and any directors and then implement it. Drupal Pages or its own web site seem to be the best choices to me.

I've met a surprising amount of people live-time and in places like Second Life that have read the free on-line version of The Scientific Conquest of Death. Much of it is still thought provoking and overall it very much is a classic--it would be nice if we could put it in a more visible place so more can read it. It is a wonderful primer for those new to the movement as well. :)

Thats a good idea to try to get it more visibility. The front page link is good but could be more pronounced. I might start a drive to post a picture of the book that links to its online form in myspace and face book. It will probably get more visibility at imminst once the active topics functions are worked out, lightowl is working on them right now, the place will likely light up with activity and gain more buzz for the front page.

Anyways, so I see in the front page link to the book that there is an index, but clicking on its chapters links to the authors profile. I see there is also an html version, I guess that is about as organized as it can go. Theres an index link in it that you can always go back to. Does that work for everybody? Any feedback on that? I guess an indexed version is already in place.

Does anyone know how you go about uploading the entirety to Google Books?

Instead of the limited preview version that's up there now? It looks like the publisher can partner for free with Google. Sounds like a great idea since it'd become part of search results.
