I've found purebulk.com
They also have an Ebay store, which has similar prices and you can pay by PayPal.
They get their stuff from china, but claim that it's safe (the actually claim that most brands of some substances come from China anyway).

What's your take on these guys?

There's a subforum just for this kind of question, with a thread about just this company.

The company itself is fine, and the stuff they send out works. Obviously everyone gets their stuff from china or india anyway. As for safety, who knows? I worry more about the extracts to be honest, since there's no way for even the famers to know if they have nickel, cadmium, lead, etc. by products on their land. And no one is likely to test for most of that.

Thanks. I think I'll give them a try. They're very cheap (although one must hassle with having the stuff as powder in a bag).

As for extracts - well, don't the "extracters" purify the crops? I mean, once a manufacturer of an extract (a trusted one, that is) gets a herb and start the "extraction" process - doesn't this mean that the process eliminates contamination? Also, is it any different for extremely high concentration extracts and low "standarized" ones?

Not necessarily. They could even be concentrating the contaminants.

That's not really true. It depends on the product, though, and for the smaller packages you are not getting a great deal. The kg+ packages are a lot better deals.

My biggest complaint is lack of selection, but the owner assured me he's trying to get st john's wort extract and magnesium taurate and idebenone in bulk. At the same time, though, he has some stuff I can't find elsewhere in bulk unless I want to buy really big portions.

Yeah, Pike and bgwithadd are right... seems like for some products the price IS double in PB, but for some the price is slightly lower.

I recommend them to 100 %, good Q, nice prices, fast shipping, good shipping prices for international orders, and top notch custom support.
This company's e mail turn around time is a example for other company's to imitate.
Can not comment much about the Chines Indien sources as must stuff comes from there nowdays.
