Mind said if we can get over 50 viewers at once during the Sunday evening chat, he will eat cat food on camera.

No, I am not lying; He said that. You should tune in every week, or you might miss it.

What is the Sunday evening chat for?

What are the benefits of participating in this online event?

Will there be guests? Who?

What are usually talked about?

How long does it take?

What is the Sunday evening chat for?

Discussing life extension related topics, and interviewing guests.

What are the benefits of participating in this online event?

Benefits? Umm, getting to see Mind interview people and talk about topics that ImmInst people would likely be interested in.

Will there be guests? Who?

There have been loads of guests already. Tonight Dr. Michael Rose was on and was great. Aubrey has been on, Dr. Vijay Pande (of Folding@Home), Bruce Klein, etc. etc. (they are of course all archived)

What are usually talked about?

The weekly life extension news, whatever the person being interviewed is questioned about, humor, other stuff, etc.

How long does it take?

Usually lasts about an hour. The one tonight went an hour and 20 minutes or so, but it went longer than usual.

No, I didn't even realize he had said that he would until he said it this week. If he does it, it better be on the recorded video so that it is archived with the other vids, haha.

Just go to our Ustream channel Sunday nights at 6pm EST. (or you can go anytime and click on the ones at the bottom to view past shows) There is always a thread on the upcoming show that Mind starts a few days beforehand to gather questions. (You can see them in the "Active Topics" list titled "Sunday Evening Update" or something similar; You can still see the one on Michael Rose from tonight up in the active topics)

what a horrid thread title, and I'd hope that he'd only be eating something organic and fit for humans (with a good ratio of vitamins, veggies & quality protein) some cat food on the market is better than what most humans eat...

I'm pretty sure cat food is made of organic matter :)

Does cat food have partially hydrogenated oil in it? Honestly, I don't know why they keep putting that stuff in food.

Idea: Perhaps two chats on sunday, 12 hours apart, would be cool, to maximize chances of all time zones participating. Could be moderated and visited by entirely different people.

PS: Many pet food brands contain *ash* as a mineral source. Eurgh.

He said it would be dry cat food, but didn't mention if it was organic or not.

If you don't buy the good expensive stuff, it's made out of road-kill, slaughter-house sweepings, and euthanized pets, then sprayed with toxic oil to make it yummy. So I hope he got the good stuff, or else doesn't read this.

We had 51 simultaneous viewers for the Aubrey interview. After the official recording was done, I tried some dry and wet cat food. The dry stuff was ok and easy to eat - basically tasted as it smells. The wet stuff smelled very good (a seafood variety) but had a bitter aftertaste.
