This is hilarious and true. I embeded it here.

I almost never get down on myself or life, and get depressed, and cynical and that kind of thing. One tool that I use to combat it when I drift toward that is to envision what I would be going through if I were in a concentration camp. People survived in concentration camps and then got out and got on with their lives. People could actually keep good spirits sometimes in concentration camps. Thinking about that makes it really easy for me to feel content at the very least, but it almost always makes me feel the full impact of the glory that Im submerged in.

Another thing like this that I do, that I like to tell people, is that if we could hypotheticly beam a king at the height of his powers in like 1100 A.D. to us here, and ask him if he would be willing to trade his kingdom and everything he has, for any of our apartments or houses with the stuff in them, then what do you think he would do? Im thinking he would most likely be saying stuff to the likes of,

'hell yes Ill trade you, this is amazing, oh my freaking god.'

That is, if he didnt pass out from the utter amazement of the ability to have food that is inspected and tasty in a fridgerator in huge variety, and the ability to watch tv and communicate across the world with various sound and video and information tools etc...

I mean, damn... Even just being alive to live out your life in the woods is a glorious existence, and look at us. This is freaking incredible, and its only getting better.

It is amazing, but think how much opportunity will exist in another 500 years...

It seems to me that those people that are like that are either mentally off, like a clan of schizophrenics, or burdened down with years of deep seeded superstition tradition.

Free thinkers move forward into the transhumanism era. To quote Eden Philpotts, "The universe is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper."

Holes of dirt are not our destiny, indefinity is our destiny, if we would only go after it. We must pursue it though. So many people sit idly by while we slide toward eternal obliteration. This reminds me of the Wayne Gretski quote, "100% of the shots we dont take dont go in." The world lines up, the grim reaper defends, the goal is indefinity, the buzzer is winding down, the crowd goes wild, the universe waits patiently..........................................
