Any supps that contains Betacaroten? If you take enough of it + tanning you will get a "deeper tan." But I'm just tired of buying "just" Betacaroten, so I want to combine it with something. Any suggestions:)?

Why do you take betacaroten supplements? Unless you have some specific reason (aside from vanity) that makes sense, I would suggest you just stop taking it. Take vitamin D3 and K2 instead; they're much healthier and also have a nice effect on skin tone.

It is also a very effective sunscreen from the literature I've read so it will be interesting to see what happens when I do get some sun exposure.

I take astaxanthin at a daily dosage of 16-20mg and have noticed a definite slight tanning effect after several months usage...(without any sun, just coming out of winter here in the UK). I do not take it for it's colouring effect, although it does seem to give a nice glow to the skin.

That's correct shaggy:)
Just looked it up now.

Average of 20% more energy required to cause sunburn in this trial. That's an SPF of 1.2.It is also a very effective sunscreen from the literature I've read so it will be interesting to see what happens when I do get some sun exposure.
Thanks Krillin...
Not as affective as I thought...although the dosage in the study was only 20-25% of my daily intake.
I wonder if the protection has a linear relation to consumption? If so I will double my exposure time before burning with dosage I consume... ;-)
