People have managed to DOUBLE their PPD. See the above post!

In summary, the doubling works under the following conditions:
1. Must be running Vista or Win7 Operating system.
2. Must use 185.2 drivers
3. Must be crunching 5900 series of work units. (this you cannot pick, it is assigned by stanford).

I don't have any Vista / Win 7 machines. However, I am really thinking about installing it! If it means crunching faster and faster!

wow! That's pretty impressive, do you know the system requirements? ie do they have to be running 64 bit Vista?

I am not sure about Vista 32 bits.
Only sure about Vista 64bits / Win 7 64bits.
Note that WinXP 64bits don't work.

That sounds great! I only have 24/7 access to my own laptop now, it is Vista though

Will try to double PPD. Thank you for the tip

sorry to kill your ambitions, but it no longer works.
The double PPD was due to software error, and Stanford have patch it already.
Sorry, but it is good for the science!

I think this thread can be closed by the mods.
