NIH NANOWEEK 2009 is a series of events designed to bring the excitement of nanotechnology to the broad NIH biomedical community. This first-of-a-kind series of events is sponsored by the Trans-NIH Nanotechnology Task Force and the NIH Roadmap Nanomedicine Initiative.

TUESDAY, APRIL 7 (Webcast begins 8:30AM): Nanotechnology at NIH: Basic Concepts, Current Research, and Medical Applications An introduction to nanotechnology: what it is, what it isn't, and how it impacts medicine, with examples of major programs supported by NIH.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8 Nanotechnology in the NIH Intramural Research Program A series of talks by NIH intramural scientists. Learn about state of the art science being done on campus. PLUS, tours of several Intramural labs will be conducted in the afternoon to allow you to see nanotechnology first-hand.

THURSDAY and FRIDAY, APRIL 9-10: Joint NIH/IEEE Society Workshop on Nanomedicine. Learn about state of the art applications of nanotechnology to medicine in a series of talks, poster sessions, and interactive sessions.
