Some people have asked me to teach them Chinese. some quick basics like: hello how are you , saying & writing their name in Chinese

I've an opportunity to teach some middle school (middle grades) students Chinese, but ONLY 5 minutes opportunity window to teach them.

I wonder if anyone has a 5minute chinese lesson plan? what to teach? numbers like 1-10 in chinese, basic colors in chinese (with visual aids of color block and pronounciation/Chinese word written on it) , or teaching them introduction/pleasantries?

Any interactive aids? needs to be fun, active, and then assess them what they learned.



Also, what language would you learn? any regional forum we can start?

However, if given the choice of learning an Asian language like Chinese or Japanese, would you prefer to learn to speak and write the numbers first (1-10), a few basic colors, or phrases like "how are you?" "I'm fine, thank you" ?

I have the Rosetta Stone Mandarin program. I would be excellent software to base a class on.

One can't really learn even the basics

Though I am an Indian, I strongly am against encouraging regional forums and regional languages. Are we not a small group of persons trying to converge and bring the attention of the globe to a singular mission - longevity? Regional discussions might =repeat = might = dilute this important mission. If at all regional forums are to be, let them be for introductions only.

Hi,

I'm fluent in Chinese and nearing fluency in Japanese.

As for adding forums, I believe these two cultures are highly correlated with a desire to live longer. Just a simple look at the languges will show you the importance of long, healthy lives in these cultures.

In Taiwan, I have introduced many of my friends to nootropics. The Chinese (Han) people are quite susceptible to trying new health-enhancing things, despite a general suspicion toward "Western medicine."
