I seem to be an endless stream of questions as of late, but here goes one more. If the source of the fragrance in a sunscreen is 'natural' will it still be irritating to tretinoin treated skin? For example 'natural lavender' scent if the source really is natural lavender?

I wonder why people feel obligated to add fragrances to everything under the sun. To the discriminating nose, pretty much all of the fragrances are disgusting, not to mention highly allergenic, and I sometimes cannot stand being near people who have used cosmetic products or sunscreen.

To answer your question, why don't you look for one that is fragrance-free? I'm sure the people around you will thank you for not reeking of lavender.

I totally agree with Andre. Natural doesn't make the fragrance any safer. See here. And if you are male I would totally avoid any direct contact with essential oils, unless you want to screw up your hormones.
