A few months old, but still great news. I hadnt seen this till now. Getting to the front of slashdot, digg, etc... can continue to help us accellerate and go far. We have a team dedicated to make this kind of stuff happen more, if anybody is interested in that then let us know, also, go there and digg the articles about the cause we listed so more things like this Goertzl feature can happen. This Goertzl feature should inspire the team too.

This makes me think, we have a list of cause related books like this at imminst.org/store, but maybe we could also use a similar place to list movies and documentaries related to this. We have a place like that for shorter clips and things available on line, at youtube.com/immortalityorg, but we dont have a place like that for movies that you cant get online.

Does anybody know of any other movies and documentaries related to the cause like this?

Oh, and heres the blurb on slashdot:

destinyland writes
"AI researcher Ben Goertzel peeks at the new Ray Kurzweil movie (Transcendent Man), and gives it 'two nano-enhanced cyberthumbs way, way up!' But in an exchange with Kurzweil after the screening, Goertzel debates the post-human future, asking whether individuality can survive in a machine-augmented brain. The documentary covers radical futurism, but also includes alternate viewpoints. 'Would I build these machines, if I knew there was a strong chance they would destroy humanity?' asks evolvable hardware researcher Hugo de Garis. His answer? 'Yeah.'"
Note, the movie is about Kurzweil and futurism, not by Kurzweil.
