I was looking at a couple X-Rays I recently had done on my skull, and in one of them i noticed my wisdom teeth. The top one looks really high. Is that normal? And the bottom ones (it looks like there's two or three wisdom teeth - I didn't think that was even possible) are clearly pushing my other teeth.

I am not covered under a plan, and can't afford surgery right now. But is this something that needs to be dealt with promptly?

This isn't the perspective of radiograph I read regularly but I don't see anything of great concern in your third molars' position or orientation. The lower third molars are seen overlapping each other because of the path of the x-ray beam to the film. The teeth are not fully erupted and depending on your age, they may never erupt. Whether that will become an issue or not could depend on several things including if the crown of a third molar impinges on the root of the tooth next to it causing a periodontal problem. So in short, don't panic. However it certainly is a good idea to be seen for regular dental care throughout your life to avoid the consequences of ignoring your dental health. There are hundreds of possible problems and conditions that can be detected and/or prevented by a comprehensive oral examination.

How old are you by the way? If you're under 21 it is very likely that these teeth will erupt further.
