Hi :)

I think I have good results regarding wellbeing in my current stack.
but not sure that its safe in long term use?

I remembered reading that a pause every four weeks, for a 3 week period is recommended.

a side effect (negative feedback) should be that the bodys own production of T3 and T4 could be affected?

Is this true?

I am very glad of this supplement in my stack, so I dont really feel like letting it go right now.

My stack:

morning:

500mg Tyrosine ( occasionally 1000 mg)
500mg Centro
800mg Piracetam
B-complex
C-vitamine

noon:
Rhodesia.

evening
( GABA in the mail )
Magnesium

When been out to a festival. ( not often )
I recover with 50 - 100 mg 5-htp, some DMEA, L-Tyrosine a few days after.

thnx

Do you have hypothyroidism? I wouldn't be concerned about tyrosine at all shutting down your bodys own natural production of T3 and T3, if you where taking medications such as thyroxine when you don't have hypo, then that would cause some concern.

I think tyrosine is relatively safe, high doses I get heart palpitations and slightly anxious like I would from too much caffiene. Keeping to less than 1g at a time I am ok.

My only concern with tyrosine is that it produces melanin, a pigment in your skin, a few of my moles changed colour over the time I was taking it and was worried, turned out to be fine could of been pure coincedence about that, but I hadn't had any sun exposure to that area for a long time, although I am constantly paranoid when taking it that I will get a melanoma or something, being very fair skinned. I hope that some one can show me I am wrong as I like tyrosine alot.

No, I am perfectly healthy :)

Glad to hear that somebody feel the same way about Tyrosine, its good stuff.
- Also if would be a damn shame shutting down bodys own production of T3 and T4, - how and for long have you been using Tyrosine?

On and off really, over about a year, usually only during exam periods when I need a boost to do the 12 hour stints in the library without falling asleep in my books.

bumps up!
Could anyone gives me some advice about melanoma risks when taking tyrosine supplement? Will it increase the risk that a mole convert to melanoma or the number of moles on your skin?
Would be appreciate for anyone's help!

cant say anything reagrding to your question.
500mg l-tyrosin is realy low. i take guess 3g in the morning to get a pleasant effect.
i take tyrosin since maybe 2 years without problems. to build up tolerace seems a effect. its a goos idea to lower the doese or take a day off. but its hard because i like it so much. i also stack often with DL Phenylalanin.. makes it even little bit better, maybe little bit more calming. and you dont feel the end of the aminos its like fading nice out.
i totally love this amino

Be careful with your health...
In your place I would have limited the use of L-Tyrosine to the maximum ...
Read the article about t op 5 L-Tyrosine side effects ;)
It may be useful for you... Good luck! :)

I used to take acetyl-l-tyrosine in the grams dosage [I know, so dumb!]... it was winter time but somehow my skin was tanned, strange?? also got fast beating heart, anxiety, inability to sleep. So I would say that it is possible it could cause a hyperthyroidism effect.

L-Tyrosine has been linked to melanomas. Not from a causative viewpoint, rather, a component of the aforementioned substance seems to advance the aggression of the disease amongst those who have it.

Save for that? Nothing else worth mentioning, although I recall a study detailing a link between the amino acid and a rise in estrogen levels. Correct me if I am wrong.
