Food additives 'affect sight' (excerpts)

Posted Image

The food additive MSG is found in Chinese food

Tests in rats have shown that high levels of monosodium glutamate (MSG) can damage the retina.

MSG is found in oriental and processed foods.

The research was carried out by scientists at Hirosaki University in Japan.

They found rats fed on diets high in MSG suffered vision loss and had thinner retinas.

It has been known for quite a while that monosodium glutamate destroys brain cells big time.
I cannot believe that the British press is only just picking up on this.

Admittedly the stuff has a HUGE lobby, because it makes every scrap of cardboard just taste so much better. That is why it is everywhere! (Trust me not easy to avoid the stuff on a students budget)
The way the Chinese are handling it however (by the spoonfull), makes one wonder wether there will be a billion babbling idiots in east Asia in twenty years time.
[wacko]

But then again the way the British are handling alcohol makes one wonder how they could ever have maintained an empire.

[hmm]
