Here is a tripeptide that triples the survival of neurocytes after ischemia
http://www.ncbi.nlm....ogdbfrom=pubmed
Gly-Pro-Glu (GPE). The neuroprotective properties of GPE given after a moderate injury in the developing rat brain were evaluated and the binding sites of [(3)H]GPE characterised by autoradiography. After right unilateral injury, GPE or vehicle (V) was injected in the right lateral ventricle (i.c.v.) or in the peritoneal cavity (i.p.) of 21-day-old rats. The percentage of surviving neurons in CA1-2 of the hippocampus was higher in the animals treated with 30 microg of GPE i.c.v. (V: 7.7+/-4.9%, GPE: 26.4+/-7.5%, P=0.02) and 300 microg i.p. (V: 30.2+/-9.1%, GPE: 68.8+/-10.6%, P=0.02) than in animals receiving vehicle. I.p. injection of 300 microg of GPE (V: 78.4+/-7.5%, GPE: 88.4+/-3.2%, P=0.04) was also neuroprotective in the lateral cortex. I.c.v. injection of [(3)H]GPE suggested binding to glial cells in the white matter tracts, the cortex and striatum as opposed to neurons. Although the precise mode of action of GPE is unknown, this study suggests that local administration of GPE is neuroprotective after brain HI injury via glial cells. In addition, systemic administration of GPE showed a more widespread neuroprotective effect. GPE may represent a complementary pathway for central and systemic IGF-1's antiapoptotic effects.

that a three amino acid sequence prevents harm from stroke suggests the possibility of engineering GI tract bacteria to produce this peptide to reduce the effects of the 3rd most common source of death among humans Optimizing administration of this peptide could benefit billions of persons
Gotta test it though It might be like the polypill prescribed to everyone over 30

Are you sure that ischemic stroke has such a high prevalence?

I saw a list It might have been the third type of cardiovascular event yet I think it was actually third

http://www.cdc.gov/n...TATS/deaths.htm
Number of deaths for leading causes of death
Heart disease: 631,636
Cancer: 559,888
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 137,119
Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 124,583
Accidents (unintentional injuries): 121,599
Diabetes: 72,449
Alzheimer's disease: 72,432
Influenza and Pneumonia: 56,326
Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 45,344
Septicemia: 34,234

thus if a Gly-Pro-Glu producing probiotic rescues 100k persons per year then it could be of value thats actually millions of persons per year globally

The data is amazing 776.5 adult deaths per 100,000 yet also 669 infant deaths per 100,000 live births Thus reducing infant mortality would really be the way to bring more person livingness http://www.cdc.gov/n...7/nvsr57_14.pdf
Time to end criminals Time to end the police

actually all previously reported criminal associated death is pretty near reducing infant mortality 1 or two pt Thus much of the justification of police, that they keep people from being killed would actually be swappable for a pill that reduced nfant mortality slightly babies live longer anyway

the rest of the police theory is "harm to items" which assurance coverage could cover
then there is mammalian threat behavior programming response craving that is, people think they want a person to call if there is threat even though police idea is larger threat than the threats they respond to stalin killed 30 million uniformed government workers with guns more than 100 million during the 20th century. people that wear government uniforms that carry guns are about twice as lethal than the homicide rate 20k * 100 = 2 million then as world population ratio 50 million per century

Officer I just found out my respect for you is associated with more mortality as well as possibly material destruction than shunning you I know the officer at the scene may believe they differ from the military yet think on it If regular people just tossed water ballons full of lupron plus mdma plus dmso on anyone thought to be naughty we could skip all those hundreds of millions of deaths

I call on police officers to walk off the job then develop a pill that prevents domestic violence
I call on criminals to use legal dugs to be happy rather than harming humans
