Hi guys,

I can only apologize if this has been brought up frequently in the past. I have noticed from the lack of american companies now stocking these products that something has obviously happened and there is probably a reason for there being no where to get these products. I have searched the internet extensively and there is hardly no information on why this is the case. I looked on wikipedia to no avail (searched pir,oxi,anir and racetams in general). I did manage to come across a couple of random threads from late last year that gave a couple of theories as to why everywhere is so dry at the moment. The first was that there was a big shipment to the US that didn't get through and this has stiffled the supply to all the companies that sell racetams. The reason for this apparently is the fact that piracetam, aniracetam,etc is no longer FDA approved or something. Because the company who ordered this shipment took such a hit financially they don't plan on re-ordering due to the risk which is still associated with such an order. This is probably a load of garbage but is qute honestly all I could find after 2hrs research!!!
The second therory is that there just isn't the demand for racetams anymore so all these companies have stopped stocking it (all at the same time hmmmmmmm). I'd like to think this was is definitely rubbish especially through reading these forums where I can see it is a very popular supplement.
Anyway I'm based in the UK. I have found piracetam and aniracetam tablets at AmericanNutrition but as you can guess the price is nowhere near as cheap as the powder. No where sells the powder anymore what's is going on?? Again I apologize if my ignorance is annoying because I'm sure you all know what is going on. If you could let me know this would be great. I have only started to become interested in the racetams hence my 'delayed' interest. I'm just confused that there is no information about this on the internet. Maybe these racetams are quite obscure and not as popular as I first thought? Maybe no-one cares?

Oh and on a side note,

If there are problems with customs in the US with regards to the shipment of racetams would that effect shipments out of the country as I do live in the UK.
Buying from these US based companies appears to be my only option in terms of price as what we have in Europe is pretty dire. I can buy 20tabs of Aniracetam from qhi for about £30!! that's roughly $48. 20 tabs at 750mg????? Now I have read that aniracetam can potentially be short lived so believe me brother that ain't worth it. Infact I think that price is an insult considering how cheap you could get the powder 'back in the day'....

When I lived in the UK I used bulk nutrition. BN no longer stocks noots, but the business has moved across to smart powders.

Thanks man. It's great to know these products are still valued. I've just ordered some Piracetam and Oxiracetam.
