I've used 300mg of Alpha GPC and 3.2mg of Piracetam daily for the past several months and am very pleased with the results. Allergy season just started and its hit me hard, so I was looking for some good allergy medications to take. I've heard Zyrtec is one of the best ones to take, but am concerned with the effects of mixing an upper and downer (CNS Stimulants of AlphaGPC and Piracetam with a CNS depressant of Zyrtec). Has anyone tried this and had any severe effects?

I would like to know this too since I take all of the above as well. This is a good question!

Hm, looks like all the people who tried the combination didn't survive it and won't be able to answer this post. :p Seriously, allergy season is right around the corner and I would really like to know if ANYONE has tried this, or any other CNS depressants combined with AlphaGPC and Piracetam.

I used zyrtec over the summer while taking my stack (pir+choline), and it was fine.

Zyrtec is, in my opinion, the best antihistamine. The reason it isn't very sedating is because it has a hard time crossing the blood brain barrier. I wouldn't worry about mixing it with CNS stimulants. I've never had a problem with it (or even with antihistamines that do cross the BBB).

Piracetam isn't metabolized, so no concern there. Alpha-GPC - you'll have to research its metabolism, but from what I know it's probably OK too.

Found this about AlphaGPC after googling:

<snip>
Research studies done since 1986 have turned up evidence for the following:
* alpha-GPC, taken orally, is metabolized to choline before absorption in the gut
<snip>

Does this mean it is still safe to take Zyrtec with it?

What is means is that it's safe for your bod but not your wallet...

Reread the last post, everyone, then check your wallets. That oh so special, highly profitable alpha-gpc is just a waste of dollars.

I've never heard any user claim that agpc helped them when choline citrate/tartrate didn't.

agpc is a huge money-making scam, like many other junk products sold today.
