A lot of people post great advice here, but at the same time - how do I put this nicely? - it's hard to sort out the good info from naive questions & posts.

I hope that together we can gather what people find EFFECTIVE for them on a regular basis AND on a special-occasion basis (for example: taking a test, getting married, etc)

I'll start:

Daily I take ALCAR (1200 mg) & Caffeine (200mg) (from guarana & grean tea - I feel as though I have better results from the natural sources vs synthetic) up to 3 times a day. I've tried the -racetams but never got in the habit.

For special occasions:
Test taking or tedious work requiring concentration: I supplement with Ephedra to increase my focus. Also I've been experimenting with black pepper to help the absorption. I suspect it helps although it is hard to say for sure.

For loosening inhibitions (fake smiles and phoney hellos at wedding receptions and the like) I sometimes use PEA to create a slightly more positive mindset.

Your turn. Please contribute.

I wanted to make a safe, and relatively uncomplicated regimen that I can use every day without worrying about cycling, so I came up with:

Morning:

Inositol (4x 650 mg)
Piracetam (4.8 g)
Omega 3s
Acetyl-L-Carnitine (2x 650 mg)
alpha-Lipoic Acid (2x 150 mg)
CDP-Choline (1x 1000 mg)
Tyrosine (2x 500 mg)

Evening:

Inositol (4x 650 mg)
Ashwagandha (1x 450 mg)
Bacopa Monniera (2x 250 mg @ 40% std)
Alpha-GPC (1x 350 mg)
Phosphatidylserine (1x 100 mg)
Vitamin D (5x 400 IU)

Going to add Magnesium and Theanine to this list eventually.

Morning:

5 mg nicotine patch
10 mg dextroamphetamine
350 mg ALCAR

Afternoon/Evening:

Nothing. Jesus, I don't want to be awake all night. Unless you count 5 mg elemental lithium, which I don't because it doesn't enhance cognition.

Sometimes:

75 mg CDP choline. More than this and I get massive muscle tension in my neck and back.
Modafinil. I get a prescription but my insurance company won't pay, so I can only afford to take it occasionally.

Never:

Racetams. Pure garbage, IME. Lethargy inducing, brain fog inducing, yuck.

Social occasions: moderate alcohol
exams: double doses of stimulants
