Hi, everyone.

First off, I am an age 30 boy

Recently I want to try the nootropics. I purchase Alpha GPC (1 tab =250mg) and Piracetam (1 tab =800mg)

Since I haven't tried any before, I first take the Alpha GPC only, for 1 tab a day. I notice an increase in attention and focus, as well as little unconfortablt in the back of my neck

After 4 days of that, I tried to take Alpha GPC 1 tab in the morning, and 2 tab of piracetam 2 hour later. In the afternoon, I took 2 tab piracetam.

In a day, 4 tab of piracetam and I notice no effect. Not noticable when compared to my first try of merely Alpha GPC

Today is my second day of Alpha GPC + piracetam combo, until now, no effect.

Any comments on the dose? Why I notice no effect?

You should browse through the thread list because this type of question has been asked multiple times. However, I will tell you that it is very common for some people to have no response. Others describe the effect as subtle. Some have tried microdoses and found their sweet spot to be much less than 800mg. However, if you are not gaining a noticeable benefit from piracetam, don't bother with it and just take the alpha-gpc. You could also try cdp-choline, which is cheaper, yet both are safe choline-delivering compounds. You could use up your alpha gpc, try cdp-choline, compare the effects, and go with whatever you prefer.

Thanks czukles.

I did read a lot of thread before i register this forum, many focus on using low dose of piracetam for newbie. I just want somebody to comments on my dose.

Probably you are right, I should discontinue use of piracetam if I still notice nothing and try what I can feel instead.

Yeah I will try CDP-choline after finished the bottle.

I've been wondering recently if the piracetam actually does anything, everyone says to take it with a choline source, i think it's probably just the choline source that is having any effect.

I agree, Imagination. The so called "tip of the tongue" effect I have heard from many posters seems like a dumbing down effect. I can't understand why anyone would think piracetam is working for them when the effect of the drug causes them to lose the ability to express themselves.

I've never had or heard of that effect, it does the opposite for me

For the "tip of the tongue" effect, I am total agree with it.

Just for example, after I take Alpha-GPC, when I was working and somebody ask me something very simple immediately response,
I notice I need to think 2 more seconds before I can answer that.

However, when I focus on reading comprehension materials, I can very focus in it than before. Just like I can read for hours without mental tireness.

It seems to me that I have some improvement on overall focus and attention, expecially when I intend to do so.
While there is some negative in response of recall common things (long term memory?)

Is that your personal experience or the general consensus of all piracetam users?

Just want to update my latest experience.

Today is my 7 days of trying Alpha-GPC and Piracetam.

Since I only got 30 tab of Piracetam, I have reduced dosage of piracetam to 1.6g /day, 1 tab in morning and 1 tab in lunch

Alpha-GPC always ingested before piracetam.

Somehow, after reduced dosage. I feel better than the first 5 days. But I could not differentiate the difference which make the feeling, somehow, maybe anecdotal.

Maybe after finish the piracetam, I need to source the buy in bulk if I still want to experience. Still thinking...~_~

Keep testing different doses.

It took me 2 weeks to start noticing a positive effect after taking 2 doses of 2.8g daily when I first started taking it. Not that you might have the same experience, but it wont hurt to try.

EDIT: Ah, didnt read the whole thread. My bad! Just keep trying.
