For those of you who have tried Oxiracetam - did you like it? Was it better than Piracetam in terms of memory recall and effectiveness? I'm thinking about buying some from Smart Powders but wanted to know what to expect. Thanks!

Same as piracetam. Nothing special.

oxi is just as good as piracetam, but at a lower dose. However, the price you'd pay for oxi compared to the lower dose you'd take isn't worth it. anecdotally, oxi is reported to have a stimulant effect.

all of the racetams are generally the same. ani is given credit as an ampakine, but according to some patents, all racetams have ampakine activity. The only comercially available racetam that has had any sort of effect not shown in the others is pramiracetam, which seems to promote goal oriented drive in rats.

edit: actually, I forgot nefiracetam is comercially available too, and that one seems to have an effect significant enough for corporate pharmaceutical research.

Hey Pike where do you buy Piracetam? I would like to try it out for the first time. I am at university and i currently take CDP choline, but i would like to experience the feeling piracetam has with it.

there are a lot of vendors out right now. So far, SmartPowders has the best price for bulk powder, and CognitiveNutrition has the best price for capsules. IAS has original Nootropil, and i think QHI has it too. The user Ben - Aus also posted up a site where you can get cheap pharmaceutical-grade piracetam from overseas, but i can't find the thread.

in terms of "feeling piracetam..." you don't really feel piracetam the same way you do w/normal drugs (in my own experience). the change is rather slight, but builds over time.

hope that helps!

Nito (and anyone else) about where to buy piracetam... I'm a junky for that stuff too, so I keep a pricelist on my hard drive of suppliers, and also a copy of it online for others to use :)

It lists the cheapest 1-4 suppliers for: Piracetam, Aniracetam, Oxiracetam, Pramiracetam, Nefiracetam and Phenylpiracetam, and I update it regularly. Feel free to pass the link on, it's a free service to the community and has no scripts, cookies, ads (well, the free hoster puts a texline at the bottom, but that's life in the cheapo lane), etc.

Racetam Prices Updated September 30, 2009

Looks like I'm gonna post a new version tomorrow - the eBay store supplementyourself no longer stocks aniracetam, so they'll be delisted. Luckily they were the most expensive ripoff supplier anyway :)
