Hello, I am female, late forties, pre-menopausal.

Over the past year, I noticed the texture of my hair changing - after having
wavy silky hair all my life, sections of my hair, mostly the under sections, turned coarse
and wirey and dry.

In general, my hair overall turned curly, quite curly - a whole different texture.

I just had a thyroid test.

All thyroid hormones were found to be within range.

I am not sure what else could be causing this - would dropping estrogen levels cause this?

Thanks, VL

This will probably not solve your problem, but try mega-tek conditioner. It is made for horses and also for human use. It makes my hair always very soft.
