Has anyone heard of this supplement? What are your thoughts?

Coenzyme A

The Master Coenzyme

Vital for: Production of Cellular Energy, Proper Detoxification, Fatty Acid Metabolism, Reducing Stress and Strengthening the Immune System

Coenzyme-A Technologies Inc. is the world's first developer of effective Coenzyme-A and Acetyl Coenzyme-A products. Coenzyme A is the first nutraceutical product to combine nutritional components that can be used by the body to support its manufacture and utilization of Coenzyme-A (The Master Coenzyme). Coenzyme A contains a specific set of substrates that are designed to assist the body in converting fats, carbohydrates and proteins into energy at the cellular level.

The nutrients supplied by Coenzyme A also help the cells efficiently deliver fuel from aerobic and anaerobic metabolism to the TCA cycle for energy release. Because the human body can rapidly absorb these nutrients, Coenzyme A can be taken by an athlete shortly before a workout or sport performance to provide extra metabolic power when they need it the most.

We use pantethine instead of pantothenic acid in our Coenzyme A product because pantethine has more activity and it is assimilated and converted into Coenzyme-A more effectively than pantothenic acid. One of the reasons why Coenzyme-A Technologies' products are so effective is because we use a scientifically formulated balanced combination of top quality, highly active natural components in the manufacture of our products.

Pantethine is the stable disulfate form of pantetheine, the metabolic substrate which constitutes the active part of Coenzyme-A (CoA) molecules and acyl carrier proteins. Because pantethine is located nearer to Coenzyme-A than is pantothenic acid in the biosynthetic pathway of Coenzyme-A, it has been suggested it will have clinical benefits in conditions where pantothenic acid is not effective, and clinical trials with pantethine appear to prove this argument. (Alt. Med. Rev. 1997;2(5):365-377)

The benefits of Coenzyme A include:

Reduces the damaging effects of stress and slows the deadly processes of aging.
Essential for proper cellular detoxification.
Initiates the tricarboxylic acid cycle which produces more than 90% of the body's energy.
Supports the development and functions of the male and female sex organs.
Initiates fatty acid metabolism.
Strengthens the immune system.
Facilitates the repair of RNA and DNA.
Facilitates the manufacture of connective tissue.
Enhances physical performance and reduces the build up of lactate.

Just take vitamin b5. It's much cheaper than CoA. Doctors usually recommend it to improve cholesterol profile. Anecdotal evidence of people megadosing it to cure acne, it seems to increase metabolism and promote weight loss.

It just goes round and round in a circle. Notice how ketosis seem to cure acne in a lot of people....and b5 is usually recommended to speed up the process of getting into ketosis. Round and round in a circle.

Let me tell you about pantethine: It is great stuff. It makes me feel so clean in my brain that I can hardly believe that it is a nonprescription substance. One of the things it helps to do is to remove aldehydes. It also works as a way of building acetylcholine.

I saw something the other day about B12 reducing Coenzyme A. So I am thinking B5 should maybe be taken by itself sometime during the day.
