Hey everybody. Im new here but ive been lurking around these forums for about a month reading as much as I can. Anyway, I am a bodybuilder and am intrigued by the growth hormone boosting effects of Alpha GPC. Being a full time student, the increases in choline would double as an excellent study aid. I have been searching... at what doses would Alpha GPC be optimal for growth hormone increasing effects.

Anyway, regarding prior nootropic use, I have taken L-huperzine A. I took it for about a week and a half straight until I had to stop because I was soooooo energized to the point of shaking. When I came off of the L-huperzine A, just prior to sleep, I would have a momentary seizure. No convulsing or anything dramatic like that, but it lasted 1 second, like a BANG in my head that would disorient me for a few minutes. Unable to find much information about L-huperzine A, I figured I'd research a prescription acetylcholineestarase inhibitor: galantamine. And sure enough the warnings said not to take if prone to seizures. Please don't flame me for being an idiot.... I already know it was a dumb move knowing that I have an epileptiform (thats what the docs are calling it). Do you think Alpha GPC would cause these same problems? I would do the research myself but I have toooo many assignments to do that will keep me buckled down for the entire weekend.

Now I know perhaps nootropic supplements arent the typical, proper, or even most efficient means of growth hormone stimulation but im avoiding all of the other, illegal stuff. Besides, Alpha GPC seems to have potential to boost the two most important things in my life: School and weight training :)

This is easy. You're really in the wrong forum, Anabolic Minds is a better bet.

What you need is a mild anti-convulsant, namely GABOB. This is often augmented with standard epileptic drugs and is OTC.

Your physician would be happy to prescribe anti-convulsants and I suspect you might take them already. You'd need their clearance to use GABOB, if you are already taking anti-convulsants and it might need a referal.

Okay why? (this is just to explain it to alot of the other members here)

What elite atheletes and bodybuilders are wanting is dopamine release particularly while they sleep. Somehow this causes a release of hGH and thats the second most important hormone in this business to testos.

GABOB I think might bypass dopamine as it would mean a link between GABA and dopamine - this might occur I can't see how.

GABOB is best thing going for hGH endogenase release and also help you in other ways. Frankly I'd forget choline.

The other routes are to use PowerFull (USPLabs), Mucana puriens, B6, and high doses or GABA, which are OTC.

The other thing you need to consider is whether you are in an anabolic cycle or not.

Personally I think if you're doing enough cardio that is a very good noot for a fitness guy, along with plenty of quality sleep.
