Hi,

I currently have and am taking Pramiracetam. I'm essentially taking it with just Choline Bitartrate as a choline source - as well as whatever choline might be present in Neuro-PS. Very admittedly, it has been 3-4 years since I've done research on nootropics, and as I jump back in, I am semi-rusty on some of the considerations with respect to creating a nootropic stack. I know Pram worked WONDERS for me in the past - and I remembered that racetams were supposed to be combined with a choline source.

So I was hoping I could explain my objective, and then get some feedback on what to add to my Pramiracetam usage?

My objective:
Essentially, I'm fairly bright, but often struggle with motivation and focus. The nootropic "stack" I create may not be a daily routine. Rather, it's probably something I'll take around dates that require intense mental exertion. I'm in grad school, 26, male, and healthy. I don't have unlimited sources of money, so presume I can't afford to add EVERYTHING under the sun. The Pram alone costs a fair chunk.

My current "nootropic stack":
800mg Pramiracetam (twice per day = 1.6g)
200mg Phosphatidyl Serine (twice per day = 400mg)
Choline Bitartrate

I'm thinking about adding any one, or a combination of the following:
Modafinil
Deprenyl
Hydergine
Huperzine
Vinpocetine
Alpha-GPC

What would be everyone's thoughts?

Take care guys, and thanks for your help!

Hello!
I have heard pramiracetam and hydergine work great on doing intellectual stuff. Also, Alpha-GPC has been proved great with racetams. What I would not get is Vinpocetine, because it is considered harmful: here.

The individual responses to noots differ so much that I wouldn't suggest not giving vinpocetine a shot. I know many people think it works great (not me though). Vinpocetine and huperzine A are super cheap so in my opinion it's sensible to try them before resorting to the more expensive ones if necessary.

The general opinion regarding choline source seems to be that CDP choline works better and is cheaper than Alpha-GPC, but again, the response ultimately depends on indivual chemistry. If I were you, I'd try CDP choline first.

Ok, I've taken in your suggestions. If I used this:

Pramiracetam
CDP Choline
Huperzine A
Hydergine

Do you think that would be a reasonable nootropic stack?

And what are your thoughts on either Modafinil, or Deprenyl?

I've generally thought of those two as being a different "category" of study aid, given their status as more of a "drug" as opposed to "supplements". I suppose the distinction is maybe a bit of a silly one. Never the less, are either of the two worthwhile? Would it be worth using either of the them?

Be careful about combining both Huperzine and CDP-Choline since you can overload yourself with choline by combining the two. You'd either want to use small doses of each, switch off, or just choose one of them. Another good addition that wasn't on your list is pyritinol. It's one of my favorite nootropics and it's really effective for increasing mental processing speed.
