Only Soltan Once is stated to contain Optisol and that is only available in SPF 30. The SPF 50 is Octocrylene, Tinusorb S and M and some TiO2 (although likely not enough to matter, its quite far down and you need lots of it to be effective). It is however also listed to contain manganese dioxide which may be only cosmetic or in fact Optisol (which manganese embedded in Titanium lattice according to the Optisol website).

It has a slightly brownish tint but overall on my fairly light skin it gives a nice complexion.

Hi Eva,

People use other sunscreens because they don't like to go out looking like a mime.

Does zinc oxide always have to be white? Is it something intrinsic to the sunscreen?

You can add some tinted liquid mineral makeup to your zinc sunscreen. What I've been doing lately is mixing sunscreens. This sunscreen has wonderful ingredients and super high % zinc but on it's own I find it too dark so I mix some with a larger amount of other zinc sunscreen (purple prairie) to achieve a perfect color.

Looks very good with so high ZnO content. (But I am not sure all these oils and butters are very pleasant in a hot summer day though.)
