Many of you are probably familiar with Mr. Silva through his short film "The Immortalists".

Find out what he has been up to lately and if he is pursuing any future productions involving life extension and immortality by tuning in to the Sunday Evening Update on January 31st at 6pm EST (2300 GMT).

Jason has been around younger media professionals at Current TV and lives in LA so I am going to ask how radical life extension is perceived in media circles, around hollywood, etc...

Ive seen that documentary so many time, mostly at imminst.org/tv, but also other places, its pretty good. Ive never thought about where Jason Silva was at and what he was doing now though. I looked him up for this. Maybe this is common knowledge amongst a lot of people here, but I didnt realize exactly what Current TV was. I had heard of it, but I didnt realize it was on tv, and that it was co founded with Al Gore.

I was suprised to see that Jason is friends with one of those ladies that was kidnapped in China last summer, Lisa Ling. She works at Current TV too.

I see he seems to support concepts like Utilitarianism. I used to be kind of, drifting toward supporting Utilitarianism, but then kind of just forgot about it. Upon thinking about it more I think it may be part of what Im looking for in trying to more fully describe what the big 8 is getting at.

Is Silva registered here at imminst? A question I have for him is that I wonder if the Sunday Evening Update qualifies for consideration in getting on to Current TV. Current TV I see they describe in one way as like an alternative to CNN, by the people.

Many thanks to Jason Silva for giving us the inside scoop on how life extension is perceived within the media culture and by A list-type celebrities. The most interesting thing he mentioned is that it is worth it to reach out to celebrities, film-makers, and hollywood-types. He said they are fairly receptive to the meme, and that more screenplays are circulating about life extension and immortality.

Jason makes another transhumanist-type video about kill-free (lab grown) meat.
