We used to take large doses of it back when I was in high school playing football.
By large doses, I don't remember how much gram wise, but it was a lot of tablets per day.
Maybe taken for a couple of months.
Don't recall any specific nootropic effects.
I can't tell that it did much of anything come to speak of it.
But not much to be expected as it was Joe Weider Brand and the 1980's.
At 17 I was pretty much oblivious to anything and everything that didn't have a skirt and a smile.

I have been interested in the outcome of the study on Inosine funded by the MJF Foundation, http://www.usatoday....arkinsons_N.htm,
I take Inosine occasionally, usually 500 mgs dissolved in water with ALCAR. I look at inosine as similar to vit. C in that it is metabolically converted to urate which is a potent reducing agent. I want to avoid any issues with kidney stones or gout with this supplement, so I only take about three times a week. I have no noticable effects from it, but figure it is a good free radical scavenger.

Also, Beyond a Century has a reasonable price on 100 g of powder. That's where I purchase from.
