Hi.

I need some advice please. I am a 17 year old student, living in Ireland and have been taking nootropils for approx. 11 months. Today, I received an order from "smart-nutrition.net" containing:

Get Smart
PayAttention
Co Q10
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Happy Days
Methylcobalamin
Carnosine
CDP Choline

However, I took 1 - 2 of each of the tablets about 30 minutes ago and almost directly after, I had a (very) strong coffee. Since drinking the coffee, I have been feeling extremely light-headed, weak - almost as if I'm about to faint. My spine and neck is tingling like "goosebumbs/shivers". Has anyone ever had an experience like this? I feel completely spaced out, like I'm high or something.

This is my first time trying out this particular stack. I am also waiting on an order of Modapro (Ciplab), pramiracetam (100grams), PEA and Bacopa.

I originally started back in March '09 with Modafinil (Alertec) and pramiracetam. At the time, they really made me productive. My math improved significantly and I started think more logically. As someone who also has speech problems (can't think of words when I need them, sometimes stutter) my verbal fluency really improved.

But that wasn't enough. In may, I added a lot more to the stack. I started taking:

Get Smart
Pay Attention
CDP Choline
Galantamine
Idebenone
Acetyl l carnitine
Piracetam

After experimenting with that stack (which was during a time I had major exams), I had almost a photographic memory. For one particular exam, I read a 3 page essay in 15 mins before the exam and reproduced it almost 100% in the exam. The feeling was incredible. I felt like I could just absorb any information. Over the summer, I stopped taking them, as my exams were finished. As a pre-med now, currently doing more exams, I turned back to noot's. My stack before this new one was:

Pay Attention
Acetyl l-carnitine
Phosphatidylserine
Idebenone (extra strong)
Galantamine
CDP Choline
Piracetam

With that stack, I never got that feeling of being able to memorise anything. I was tired a lot and I wasn't able to think logically etc. Maybe I just reached a plateau with them? Anyone have any ideas?

On a side note, I have been predominantly raw vegan for 2 months and loving it. I've lots of energy all the time and I am physically fitter than ever - my muscular endurance has improved. But as part of my transition into raw food, I started taking a lot of supplements. So I also take:

Source of Life ( A multi-vitamin for men, containing all the vitamins, up to 20, 000% of the RDA for some, Ashwaganda, Saw Palmetto, Spirulina, Bee pollen etc.)
B-vitamin complex (mainly B12)
Zinc
Vitamin A
Vitamin E
Chlorella
Probiotics
Gotu Kola
Iron Tablets

Does anyone have any advice regarding my stack? Is there anything that may be comprimising the effects of others, anything I should stop taking? Anything I should start taking? Any advice would be much appreciated.

So the weird spaced out effect subsided after around an hour.. I e-mailed the company who reckon it was because I took a stimulant after taking the PEA/Picamillon/Phenibut/Rhodiola.

Anybody at all have any advice on a noot stack? I know different stacks work for different people, but I'm sure some of you know what supplements work in synergy and the one's that don't.

I got another order today containing

Melatonin
5-HTP
No Worries
Sulbutiamine
Centrophenoxine
Idebenone (Free)
Acetyl L-Carnitine (Free)
Huperzine A

Let me know what you guys think. Any info would be much appreciated!

:)

There is far too much in that stack for you to be taking it all at once without even going through an individual selection process with the different supplements. It's no surprise that you got spaced out considering that three of those products are proprietary blends which probably means you're probably doubling up on a lot of different supplements. You need to slowly introduce each one and access it's effects individually.

Just throwing as many supplements as you can at an issue will not resolve it. I mean 'no worries', 'pay attention', 'get smart' and 'happy days', are you just trying to get some sort of high or what?

Fully agree with Animal.

And more is not better.

Smart nutritions.net combo pills = bad combo.

I see Huperzine A and Galantamine only this 2 together are enough for disaster.(and at 17 you should not take anyone of these 2)

I get the same felling as Animal does, it is like you looking for a High.

Take a step back, read up about this substance, start with a small basic stack and ad stuff slowly.
Doing this you will have greater sucsess!

Take it easy, slow down, breath and start over!

Welcome to imminst owen mac, another paddy here. Just a follow up, fully agreed with animal and ole99, you must take noots really slowly. Start off with 1 or 2 basic ones and add slowly. Ideally leave about 6 weeks between them.
If you start off taking a whole load of them together, you won't know whats working or interacting and it could go badly wrong.
I think you were taking far too much stuff for your own good.
Often, less is more so take it easy :-D

Okay, so I think some of you are under the impression that I'm new to nootropics. I've been taking them for nearly a year and before ever ordering them, I spent several months researching them and their effects. My problem isn't with understanding their effect, I have "read up about the substances", I just don't know which ones to combine. Hence the reason I've bought so many to try them and see what works. Personally, I don't think taking all them is good either. I physically threw up yesterday morning from taking roughly 26 tablets in a row.

I am definatley not looking for a high. If I wanted that, I could ask my junkie friends for a fix. I am all about health and longevity, not drugs/alcohol. The reason I started taking noots was obviously for their cognitive effects. I've always been an above average student, but in the Leaving Certificate (*A-levels equivalent/ SAT's in USA, maybe) it's extremely competitive and I feel they give me a competitive edge. They also help to motivate me to study, reduce the time I spend studying and improve my recall in exams.

As for the "Happy Days" and "No Worries", in the middle of these exams I get extremely stressed out. I'm also stressed about the loan I have, having to support myself, looking for a place to live, paying for my education with zero help from anyone else. My parents reckon I should be independant, so they've basically cut me off and left me to fend for myself. Sorry, enough about my personal life...

I just want advice on maybe the best stack to start with and what to add in. You can see from my original post what I have (I'm like a walking pharmacy at this stage), so if anyone has any advice, based on what I've currently available, please let me know.

Thanks for the advice so far. Yeah, ole99, I didn't realise until now the effect of combining those two. I might stop using them altogether and just use a choline source.

If looking at what you have and no starting super small.

I would start this
Source of Life ( A multi-vitamin for men, containing all the vitamins, up to 20, 000% of the RDA for some, Ashwaganda, Saw Palmetto, Spirulina, Bee pollen etc.)
B-vitamin complex (mainly B12)
Probiotics
Idebenone or regular q10
CDP Choline
Piracetam
Acetyl L-Carnitine
Alpha Lipoic Acid
and buy someD3(not a noot) and good omega 3
This is your basic stack

and Melatonin small dose 1mg if you have slepping problems.

These add slow.
then maybe later try Centrophenoxine, Sulbutiamine, Phosphatidylserine and maybe ad some magesium for q sleep.

Later Try also bacopa and Rhodiola Rosea.

The pre mixed combo tabs is harder, no big fan of pre combo pills, but when taking the one you already have ,maybe not mixes them with your regular stack or other mixes!

And it is correct that you saying, if want to get high there is better more fun stuff out there:), but that is another story not suitable for this forum.

I took your advice and tried that today. I didn't take any of the pre mixed combo ones. I did add in the PS and Sulbutiamine. I feel strangely motivated to do some study at the moment! I feel really energetic as well...

Thanks for the advice!
