I'm curious what exactly people experience when they use piracetam. I'm not so much interested in "my grades went up" or "my memory improved" as those hardly seem like reliable markers and also very sensitive to placebo.

Personally the only thing I notice is a slight improvement in mood, and maybe a bit more alertness throughout the day. I admit both of those could easily be placebo as well.

About a half hour after I take the piracetem my head will almost feel "disconnected" from my body. Not a terribly great experience. I don't know if I have enough stimulating work or what but I wouldn't really say I feel any smarter. Then in the afternoon, about 6 hours after I take the piracetem I start getting on and off headaches. I'm currently on my third week of trying piracetem/CDP Choline/pyritinol and am lowering my dosage per day on the piracetem by gram increments to see if I notice anything different. Second week of usage, after seeing no effects, I uped my dosage by a gram a day till I hit 8g. At 8g I noticed some effect and have come down to 5g today without any lack of effect. Going to see how low I can go before I stop noticing effects completely. As some people claim they take less than 1g per day and notice the effect.
