Hey guys,

I have a standardized exam coming up in a few months and was wondering if you could recommend ONE or TWO supplements to help me study? Would like to avoid taking a huge stack of drugs, just one or two that will help me with my problem. I need to be studying about 9 hours a day and I have trouble concentrating for that long. My first hour or two is productive but then I get extremely distracted after that. My mental stamina is lacking and I need to improve my cognitive abilities in logical thinking. I just need something that will force me to concentrate only on my books and help me get a mental boost to take in, digest, and recall a ton of information (I'm reading several thousand pages). I also need to improve my ability to think quickly and efficiently. I was considering a small daily dose of modafinil and CDP choline. Would that just increase my mental stimulation or do you think that would improve my cognitive functioning as well? Thanks for the advice.

Ya, def go with the modafinil. I was in your sitution before and was able to get through 14 hour study sessions (I crammed everything). Some nights, before the exams, I only got 90 mins sleep, but still aced my exams. They were lifesavers.

Also consider pramiracetam (a more potent, fat-soluble form of piracetam). It makes everything seem so clear and helped me recall information very easily.

That is just my experience though. It may be different for others.

:-D

Modafinil, 50 mg. But don't cram, if you're at all concerned about long term memory retention.

I'm not trying to cram. I plan to spend several months on this endeavor but the breadth of the material I need to learn is just so extensive. If I dose at 25-50 mg daily, should I be concerned about gaining tolerance to it soon? I might try to use it for the last two months of studying. Also anyone have any tips or things to watch out for while using Modafinil? And anyone else have any other supplements they recommend?

I never developed a tolerance for it and I took it for 4 months in a row, but I was taking 100mg a day. I divided my tablets into quarters and took them at equal intervals throughout the day. One problem with modafinil, is that it can reduce your creativity and your ability to emphatise. It's almost like you feel emotionally detached. But for me, that was a small price to pay for better memory.
