Hello,

I recently purchased some bulk Piracetam. I read many places that said Piracetam tastes horrible/bitter. I am wondering if my Piracetam is the real deal because I can totally tolerate the taste. To me it does not taste bitter or bad, only slightly at the end. Has anyone tasted Pyritinol? I think that pyritinol tastes 10 times worse than Piracetam. Am I right about this? Do you all agree with me?

When I first took bulk Piracetam I couldn't stand the taste of it, but after just a week or so I started getting used to it and sometimes even slightly enjoyed the taste. It's still the same taste, but I guess you get used to it (maybe it's an acquired taste). I haven't tried Pyritinol, but if it really tastes as "bad" as piracetam then maybe you got used to taking bulk powders with bitter taste and therefore aren't affected much by Piracetam.

I've heard some people (Isochroma) say that they actually enjoy the taste. Maybe for the same reason MSG makes dirt taste good?

To the thread starter: no, piracetam should make you cringe when you taste it, at first.

If you think it tastes bad then put it in a gel cap or take it in a pill form, what's the big deal about taste?

Piracetam should definitely taste bitter. Whether or not you can tolerate the bitterness is another issue, but you should CERTAINLY notice it. It's NOT subtle, it's very pronounced - hard to miss.

An easy + cheap way to mask the bitterness is to mix it with Crystal Light. Keep the Crystal Light twice its normal strength and it masks the piracetam fairly well, for 30 or so cents a serving. Or buy a Cap M Quick pill template, and you can cap your on batch of 50 capsules in 3 or 4 minutes.
