Because low carb diet makes you fat...

They're just going to make up reasons why the study was bad.

What about a lowfat lowcarb high protein diet made up of natural non-manmade food?

"high protein diets don't exist", but if your protein/fat/carb ratio is 40/30/30, isn't that a high protein diet?

They definitely can exist. Just eat most of your calories from healthy protein sourses. How could a high protein diet not exist?

Where would my energy come from? i need some macronutrient for energy-in since I exercise very vigorously several times a week. that is why i think moderate fat and moderate carb is the way to go. Although for the past few weeks what i've been doing is alternating. For several days I will do high fat, low carb and then one or two days I will eat large portions of rice or organic blue corn chips or some other source of 'healthy carbs' while maintaining a lower fat intake for those days. I have no idea how healthy alternating like this is or how much I might be confusing my body in the process, but it is an experiment.

Whatever limited nutritional resources are in corn, I'm sure it is mostly lost when heavily processed into a chip. Why not just eat a sweet potato with olive oil? Much more nutrient dense carbohydrate.

That is what I usually prefer to do. But I am in a living situation with room mates. This will be changing in the very near future as I will be getting my own apartment. One constant source of healthy carbs for me is oatmeal though. I really don't think anyone can go wrong with it. Plenty of isoflavones for anti-inflammation benefits.
