Hi all,

I will be ordering some centro from Rizzer next week. I'm not sure I'll need to purchase any Alpha GPC if I'm taking centro (unless there's a tolerance issue). IAS promotes Centro as both a nootropic AND a life extension drug. Anyone know offhand if Alpha GPC has any life extension benefits? If not, then wouldn't Centro clearly be superior to Alpha GPC for its "overall benefits"?

For that matter, if I'm taking Centro, is there any reason to take:
1. DMAE? (since Centro breaks down in part into DMAE)
2. Any other choline source: e.g. lecithin, choline bitartrate, etc.?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Peace be with you all,

Centrophenoxine is claimed to be superior to DMAE in that it penetrates the blood-brain barrier better than the later.

A choline source could be useful in that DMAE does not add any new choline to the CNS, it actually interferes with acetylcholine uptake and choline metabolism. Probably use DMAE in smaller doses than normal with a choline source to prevent its interference in choline metabolism and uptake.

I am not quite sure if I should be taking both, but if Centrophenoxine is clearly the better choice overall I will take it exclusively. Other I think taking two choline supplements AND a AChE inhibitor is too much.
