Read some studies showing these two supplements can be ani-aging, possibly, read another new study showing DHEA does not seem to fight aging like they hoped it would, but read lots of positive things on Pregnenolone and memory and energy boosting benefits.

But what scares me is that both of these supplements could raise hormone levels presumably testosterone in men and I worry about hormone based cancers like prostate and others.

Any opinions or ideas on whether a low dose of either of these supplements could be beneficial or deleterious?

You can ask the same question about any vitamin, mineral, or ever water. They're all beneficial, or dangerous.

Both DHEA and pregnenolone are definitely beneficial, especially for anyone over 40. Hormones should only be taken under a doctor's supervision.

I guess what I'm getting at is the cumulative effect of these hormonal based supplements worse than the beneficial effects? Or better stated, am I at an elevated risk for hormonal based cancers even on a low dose.

Supplements such as multivitamins obviously the good seems to be outweighing the bad, and if the bad is bad enough it will always outweigh the good, as in getting a life threatening illness like cancer.
