I have had extensive experiences with mind-altering drugs, so I am attuned to shifts in consciousness. I took a 1.5g dose of oxiracetam today, after having taken 30mg of Vinpocetine throughout the day. Today is my first day ever taking nootropics.

It is now an hour later, and I feel a _slight_ euphoria which can be described as a tiny dose of valium. There's a hint of that "feelgood" feeling, but in a sedative sort of way. Is this a placebo effect, or have any of you felt something like this with Oxiracetam? I thought these chemicals were supposed to be only evident after a repeated regimen.

There is really one one way to find out: try the exact same combo tomorrow...

...Until then...

The racetams definitely have an acute effect, as well as other or greater effects that become pronounced with regular use.

Insomnia can occur, that's why you should use the racetams when you wake up and possibly again at around 2:00pm or so. Avoid taking them in the evening.
