Hi.

What would be the best Acai Berries manufactureres out there? I'm looking for Aca Berries in capsule/pill form (not liquid).

I recommend blueberries (or mixed berries) over Acai. If you have access to frozen berries, I like this brand:
http://www.wymans.com/

Costco sells giant bags at a decent price.

Unless there are some Acai studies out there showing a benefit over other berries, I'm not sure I see a point to an extract.

It's a marketing ploy. In the next couple of months a new berry will come out touting even higher ORAC scores.

I don't see the point of Acai, except for marketing...
That is why we don't manufacture any of our products with it.

Seriously, I think we would lose credibility if we did.

Well... if you just want bulk Acai then Madre Labs makes "Simply Acai" http://www.iherb.com...54-g/21597?at=0 - which I recently bought (again) for a friend in a $20-off discounted iherb combo deal.

I don't take Acai, but my friend does, and he seems to prefer the Madre Labs brand. I've tasted it, and it tastes similar to the NOW branded capsules, but perhaps a bit better.

Now for the bad part... CHAGAS DISEASE! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chagas - heh... search for "acai" and I'm sure it'll show up.

Acai drops my blood sugar anyway... I'll stick with mixed berries.

Trypanosomes are highly unlikely to survive freeze-drying. I would certainly think twice if I were on the Amazon though.

Unlike what seems like everyone else here, I think good quality acai is one of the best 'antioxidants' you can take. It has certainly been a major boon for my health.

You don't have to be particularly savvy to see through MLM, a little strange thing to feel superior about it. It is entirely irrelevant that the pyramid schemers happened to run with this berry. Marketing doesn't make the phytochemicals any less, or more, effective.

And to the OP, Eclectic Institute has the best that I've found.

I just came across this product, MonaVie; seems to be a blend of juiced berries, whose main ingredient is açai berry. Has anyone heard of it, a waste of money or worth a closer look?
