Hi everyone,

I seem to be very prone to headaches. I usually get headaches everyday unless I take two ibuprofin and two paracetamol (tylonal) tablets when I wake up everyday and before I go to bed. I'm afraid if I keep taking ibuprofen everyday I'll get stomach ulcers. I don't know if my headaches could be considered migraines, but they hurt and they keep me from doing my school work when I have them and their annoying. I usually get them during school or after school. Even when I don't have a headache there is a sensation in my head all the time that won't go away it feels like a grip or vice like feeling in my head or something but it is painless it's just annoying. I usually get the head aches if I go out, but if I stay at home all day I usually don't get a headache. What could be wrong with me?

I had this battle for years.
I advise you log you activity's and food compared to headaches.

this worked for me:
1- watch your sugar intake, keep it balanced with fruit sugars.
(no fruit in the morning = headache. candy or sugary product on empty stomach = headache)
2- watch you caffeine intake. (if for example, you would be used in drinking Thea every day, and stop drinking it you can trigger a headache)
3- I noticed that mental stress + physical stress = guaranteed headache.
4- don't sit in a room still for hours without enough oxygen (pretty obvious)
5- sunglasses, water and reduce audio input when you notice an headache coming up.
6- morning exercises help with environment transitions (like going outdoors)

I only get a headache when I don't follow these rules I made for myself.

good luck! headaches are horrible to get.

n=2: My mother and I both had great success curing ongoing headache problems by adopting a paleo diet (turns out we both Gluten Intolerant)... Also many reports on the the Internet of people having similar success. I would highly recommend giving it a go, you don't even really need to make any drastic changes and adopt a strict paleo diet or anything, simply drop the handful of foods paleo recommends to avoid: gluten-grains, added sugar/fructose, and processed n-6 PUFA oils. If you really want to cover all your bases also drop dairy. Give it a go for two weeks, it may just completely cure you. The worst thing that could happen is you don't eat some of your favourite foods for two weeks, but it might just change your life :p

Do you have a regimen ? Have you tried Magnesium ?

I second the gluten-free/Paleo suggestion.
