I am perfectly aware of the flaws of any online translator (the translation is a very literal one and sometime doesn't make much sense etc.).
Though, for a person that was interested in a site and had very little knowledge of the language of the site itself, it could be of some use for a first "encounter" with the matter discussed on the site.
So maybe embedding Google translator and allowing foreign speaking people to translate whole pages of the site (even though very badly) could be useful in "spreading the word" and help the cause.

Its a good suggestion, but I'm wondering if its easier to translate 'key messages' and manifestos.
In contrast, most of the content at ImmInst is on the forums. Is it worth translating these?

I think google translate button embedded in the regional forums could be a great idea, perhaps not so much to translate from English, as from other languages. And of course translating the manifestos and key notes should be better left to native speakers.
