Hi,

Thought I'd share what I've experienced having taken Adrafinil for the first time today.

Took 600mg on an empty stomach this morning and waited over an hour before eating. Supplemented by adding another dose in the afternoon of 300mg (not empty stomach).

My observations:

1) My Piss definitely smells a bit weird - I read about that previously, so I guess that's true...

2) Energy...I'm divided on this, it appears I do have a little bit more energy but I'm a little bit spaced...

3) Focus - I was hoping the drug would help my concentration, but unfortunately I have had no luck (I should be studying, but I'm writing on this board!).

I must say I'm a bit disappointed in honesty, - I really thought it would help my focus & general attention as I have read in other posts, but unfortunately It doesn't appear to. Am I doing anything wrong, or could I potentially add something to maybe improve my concentration?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

That's just that sulfur atom in the middle of the molecule making the funky piss. Perhaps you're a non-responder, but I'd try a couple more times a least to assess that. Another possibility is that you have a high tolerance to stimulants.

What time of the day did you take it? I first used and thought it wasn't working. Its not at all what you expect. Try taking it at 8pm and staying up all night working and reading. Then you'll see how brilliant it is.

Also vital: Empty stomach and don't eat for about 45 mins. That usually ensures a good effect. I take 1 pill 30 mins after the other to make sure the liver can process it efficiently and not excrete too much of it without processing it.

There is no drug which will suddenly make you begin doing demanding work if you have no self-discipline. Personally what I notice with both Adrafinil and Modafinil is a lack of tiredness, rather then an increase in energy. For someone like me who suffers with chronic fatigue this is fantastic, for individuals who typically have a nominal amount of energy I can't imagine the effects being that pronounced.

After writing my initial post I went back to my desk, and wierdly I felt a little calmer but more focused. This feeling only lasted for 2 hours out of the 10 hours I was studying, it occurred after taking 900mg (in total).

I think I may have a relatively high tolerance to stimulants, but I would account that to my size too (I'm 6'2" 240lbs). With that in mind I am going to take your advice Runner and stagger the intake of my dosage in the morning by allowing a 30minute gap between taking my 2 300mg tablets.

Towards 12PM however, even though I had taken 1200mg (Which I believe it he maxiumum 'safe' dosage) I was ready to fall over and go to sleep on my desk!

Would there be a supplement to potentially heighten the effects of Adrafinil? .....Would Coffee help....?
